Well, yes this is true that rural youth lagging behind when it comes to job. I would like to share some of my experiences. It was my second Job as a HR Recruiter. as we already had business tie ups with many IT and non IT companies, HR personnel of these companies used to let us know about vacancies for various posts they had in their organizations. I needed to go for screening bundle of resumes , look for right resume and take telephonic interviews after confirming them as they are being shortlisted for the Telephonic round of Interview.
Daily I used to take 12 to 15 telephonic interviews and shortlist the candidates for face to face interviews. When it comes to interviews I have observed some points that the rural youth are struggling with..
1) Confidence - As most of the rural youth completed their education from the schools and colleges where there were no proper guidance and education is given, they lack in Confidence. Even the Teachers when it comes to Zilha Parishad / Nagar Palika Schools are not enthusiastic to inculcate the students, Education has became an industry where no values or morals are being taught. Most of the kids are demotivated and demoralized in their childhood and this programming of these kids brain stays as it is which affects their behavior in later years of their life ; i.e Youth stage
2) Right Attitude - Hmm, most of the rural youth are land lords so the ego, and when they actually come out of their imaginary ego to face an interview, they are not even able to introduce themselves....
