Now a days I am exploring another dimension of life, where I found positive vibes and clarity of thoughts.. Life is is very interesting thing, we all came here to explore life..
I considered myself as short tempered, arrogant and confused woman but ever since I started searching the answer to a question, "Who am I?" picture is getting more clear.. and I have found that "Arrogant", no certainly I am not... "Short tempered", no certainly I am not.. "Confused", no certainly I am not... "Woman" no certainly I am not...
I remember the day when my Grandpa left his body, I was sad. He was laying on the floor, calmly as if he just fell asleep and could wake up in sometime... but he never ever woke up.. Then I realized the fact that my Grandpa was just using the body like we use clothes and in actual he was different than his body for sure.. He left that body which means, he was not that body.. can we co-related the same with me? I am also, not this body? This body is perishable and it is only there to explore or to find the answer of question of existence....?
My Grandpa left his body, but the real question arises here, where did he go? may be at the same place where he came from? Can we visit that place without leaving this body? Depends ; May be yes, may be no.. isn't it? might be the body is just a medium to realize "something" ... then what's that something? is that the fact that "You are that"...."Pure Consciousness".... in Sanskrit we call it "Chetana"...
I think yes That's the answer....
Even the 8th century Indian Philosopher Adi Shankaracharya said in the very first stanza of his work, Nirvana Shataka,
Mano-Buddhy-Ahangkaara Cittaani Naaham Na Ca Shrotra-Jihve Na Ca Ghraanna-Netre | Na Ca Vyoma Bhuumir-Na Tejo Na Vaayuh Cid-Aananda-Ruupah Shivo[a-A]ham Shivo[a-A]ham ||1||
Meaning: Neither am I the Mind, nor the Intelligence or Ego, Neither am I the organs of Hearing (Ears), nor that of Tasting (Tongue), Smelling (Nose) or Seeing (Eyes), Neither am I the Sky, nor the Earth, Neither the Fire nor the Air, I am the Ever Pure Blissful Consciousness; I am Shiva, I am Shiva, The Ever Pure Blissful Consciousness.
Also, Ashtavkra who was reversed Vedic Sage wrote Ashtavakra Geeta
and here is one of the stanza from Ashtavakra Geeta,
अहो चिन्मात्रमेवाहं इन्द्रजालोपमं जगत् । इति मम कथं कुत्र हेयोपादेयकल्पना ॥ ७-५॥
aho cinmātramevāhaṃ indrajālopamaṃ jagat । iti mama kathaṃ kutra heyopādeyakalpanā ॥ 7-5॥
Meaning: I am pure consciousness, and the world is like a magicians show. How could I imagine there is anything there to take up or reject?
Also Chhandogya Upanishad which declared the Identity of atma (Soul) to brahman (Supreme Soul) - Tat tvam asi - You are That (brahman) - A principle which has later been adopted as a mahavakya by Adi Sahnkaracharya to represent entire gamut of Advaitic view of the Vedas-Upanishads. So, here is the answer of the question...Who am I ?
You are That, Pure Consciousness...
